(13) The Wig-L-Bug is an invaluable accessory for the spectroscopy laboratory. It is ideal for mixing and pulverizing samples for use in a KBr matrix that will be pressed into a pellet and for mulling techniques. Sample preparation is reproducible from sample to sample by replicating the cycle time, which is controlled by a 60 second timer. Most samples can be prepared in 10 seconds. Agate, metal and plastic sample vials are available. 115 volts only.
(3) The Digital Wig-L-Bug features a keypad programmable timer (0 to 30 seconds), and can be programmed on the keypad to run at four speeds: 3800, 4200, 4600 and 4800 RPM. This Model uses a polymer threaded screw type vial and a stainless steel ball pestle which comes with the unit. An optional stainless steel liner for the polymer vial is available. (Accessories for the standard Wig-L-Bug are not compatible with this model). Electrical: 120 volts, 60 hertz.
(2) The Model 30 Wig-L-Bug has the same components as the standard Wig-L-Bug, except that is has a mechanical 60 minute timer instead of an electronic 60 second timer. Since the timer is mechanical, the Model 30 can be used in countries with 50 hertz power. A transformer for this unit is available. The Model 30 uses the same accessories as the standard Wig-L-Bug.
